Global Art..

I believe that most of us are wishing for a better world and for less problems. If you have anything to add to my blog you are more than welcome to do so.Any ideas about how to stop the issues that I’m listing below are also more than welcome:)

04

Why would you represent some political issues through art?

1.Because it is easier to sent a message this way than having to say it out loud

2.Because it is much more interesting and appealing and people would actually pay attention

3.Because you can keep it anonymous if you want to

4.Because a photograph can be worth more than a thousand words

5.Because it gives you the courage to speak up.

I thought the video below was very interesting and i hope you like it too:)

Poverty:

Poverty Facts

Almost half the world — over three billion people — live on less than $2.50 a day

The poorest 40 percent of the world’s population accounts for 5 percent of global income. The richest 20 percent accounts for three-quarters of world income

According to UNICEF, 25,000 children die each day due to poverty

Around 27-28 percent of all children in developing countries are estimated to be underweight or stunted

Nearly a billion people entered the 21st century unable to read a book or sign their names

Less than one per cent of what the world spent every year on weapons was needed to put every child into school by the year 2000 and yet it didn’t happen!!!

Sometimes it is hard to believe that some of those photos were taken in the 21st century..

hunger[1]

i wish this could be avoided..don’t you?..

For some people it is easier to avoid a problem than try and solve it..

Theme:Nature

Did you know that the word nature is derived from the Latin word natura, or “essential qualities, innate disposition,” but literally meaning “birth”?

When we mention the word nature mostly everyone would think trees and grass, but what about the animals? What about the weather and everything else that is part of the nature?

In this blog I will try to explain what nature means for me..

Bachalpseeflowers

Artist Name: Zacht

Title of work: Bachalpsee in the morning, Bernese Alps
Size: 800 × 538 pixels, file size: 69 KB
Materials, media: camera
Country: unknown

The reason why i chose this photograph is because i love the way Zacht captured the nature is the photograph. It is a very good quality photo so it makes you feel like you are present in the photo in a way and he didn’t only include the flowers, mountain and lake in the photo but also the timing was perfect as he caught the sunshine as well and it gives the photograph an even bigger impact on you. The author of the photograph likes to stay anonymous so i couldn’t search some more photoes of his but i definetly think he has a talent for photography and i think this is only one of his many.

Alan Wickham is a very good painter and his work is based arund the nature. The reason why i chosed to show this piece of art is because i really like his style and his paintings inspire me and open up memories. Water is nature, plants are nature, and the fishes are nature too.I love the combination of colour in this painting and how  the fishes stand out in this painting.

Artist Name:Diane Brandrett

Diane Brandrett’s work is influenced by cartography and technical illustration. She is very carefull with the visual features of her work and she pays a lot of  attention to every single detail. In this painting she is trying to express her apreciasion for the beautifulness of the nature.

Village Highway

Artist Name:Vibhakar .M. Vora
Title of work: Village Highway
Size:unknown
Materials, media:paint,brush,canvas paper
Country:India

The main topic of the artist is Village scene paintings, Watercolor abstract paintings, Oilcolor paintings, Digital Computerized Paintings, figurative paintings and sketches. This painting is one of my favourites as for me it is very unique and because the artist comes from a different background it makes the painting stand out more by putting his values and believes into his work.

unknown

Artist Name:Janis Zoutman
Title of work: unknown
Size:unknown
Materials, media:paint,brush,canvas paper
Country:England

Janis draws and paints human, animal and plant form then intermittently uses these as studies to create deeper, more abstracted work, that offers glimpses of the original subject evoking memories and subliminal thoughts. The reason why i put his work on my blog is because it is simple and beautiful and it relates to my nature theme.

367288272_eJGCK-M

Artist Name:Aiyandra Rajesh

Title of work: unknown

Size:unknown
Materials, media:camera
Country:Austria

I liked this photo as it reminds me of the nature from  back home, where i was born and it brings back memories. Her background is similar to mine and this is one of the reasons i am so attached to her work. It is a very beautiful photograph that captures an european alpine scenary, with very nice colours and a sense of loneliness.

800px-Galunggung

Artist Name: R. Hadian
Title of work: United States Geological Survey photo of 1982 eruption of Galungung
Size: 960 × 530 pixels, file size: 35 KB
Materials, media: camera
Country: USA

Like I said at the beginning of this blog, natures isn’t all about trees and flowers, nature is also made by geological factors like volcanoes eruptions and factors like lighting. This photograph is a very good example of this and I chose it to prove my point. I like the photograph as it captured a real event, an unique event that most of us would probably never get to experience.

800px-Wilderbeest

Artist Name: Unknown
Title of work: Connochaetes taurinus, Ngorongoro Crater, Wildebeest
Size: 3,615 × 2,380 pixels, file size: 2.5 MB
Materials, media: camera
Country: UK

This photograph proves one more time that if it’s not green it doesn’t mean it’s not nature. The artist caught a beautiful photograph with a great detail and texture. I had a look at a few more works of his and I saw that his worked is based around the life of animals.

Deadly-Sea-Creatures-Series---%22Blue-Ringed-Octopus%22

Artist Name: Steven DeWitt Perrin
Title of work: Blue Ringed Octopus
Size: unknown
Materials, media: paint, brush, canvas paper
Country: unknown

What the artist is trying to do is to “break the boundaries of what art is by merging old and new techniques and technologies seamlessly.” The reason why I chose to show his work is because his style is more abstract than other artists and this is what grabs your attention and gets you interested. This painting is representing nature by the sea creatures along with the artist’s imagination which takes control over the painting.

Artist Name: Tom
Title of work: Beautiful nature pics montage on music
Size: unknown
Materials, media: camera, computer
Country: unknown

I thought this video would be perfect to close with as it captures all the different types of nature and the beautiful photographs put together with the song make you understand what nature really is all about. The guy that made it did a great job with it and you don’t get bored no matter how many times you watch it, it will still have an impact on you.
